How did you decide upon which menstrual cup to use?

With so many brands of menstrual cups arriving on the scene, how'd you select the cup you're currently using?  Myself, I learned about the DivaCup first, so I tried that one first.  It's working for me, so I haven't tried any others, yet.  Have you tried more than.......

Is it true that tampons aren't recommended for girls and women with disabilities? And is it true that cotton tampons are preferred over the normal brands?

Hi, I'm 20 and have Asperger Syndrome (High-Functioning Autism). I usually use tampons when I'm on my period, but I've heard that tampons aren't recommended for girls and women with certain disabilities (like Autism Spectrum Disorders) because of risk of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome). Is that true? I've also heard that cotton tampons are preferr.......

Effervescent (denture tabs) and general menstrual cup cleaning habits

 Hi all. New poster, new cup user. 25, non-virgin, no kids. I got my first cup in the mail yesterday. I boiled it for 5 minutes as recommended by the manufacturer. Today I tried. Dry run and did ok. Hurts to Remove Tampon

I put a tampon in for the first time six hours ago. I'm only thirteen but I really wanted to go in the pool and obviously you can't swim with a pad. It's full definitely and it's not dry. It won't come out and it really hurts when I pull hard. I already tried it submerged in water and that didn't help, it won't budge. Help?.......

I have a heavy flow and no overnight pads. I'm 12 also and I don't want to tell my mom. What should I do? Also, I have to go swimming tommorrow and I can't wear I tampon. Not ready. .......
