As the holidays quickly approach, it’s time for us to start shopping! But, for many, this season doesn’t just bring about credit card debt, it also brings up memories of years past. We think of our family. We think of our friends. We think of when we first learned the truth about Santa.

For some of us, this truth was devastating: it was up there with learning that Milli Vanilli were actually imposters rather than the super awesome singers who’s tape we totally don’t still listen to. From a practical standpoint, it was also annoying. Once our parents knew that we knew, they stopped trying. Rather than stockings full of money or candy or the latest electronics, we got stuff we needed. Gee, Santa, thanks so much for the maxi pads.

But, while Santa might not be who we thought he was, he’s not what the holidays represent. They’re about something bigger – faith and love. Plus food…lots and lots of food.

Yet, even the least materialistic person can’t deny that presents are a part of the season too – it’s not really about placing commercialism above other things. But presents are fun and allow us to cultivate relationships through the ever-important question: what did you get me?

When it comes to periods specifically, maybe Santa swapped out money for Midol at an early age and your stockings (as mentioned above) became full of what you needed. But, regardless, menstruation supplies make ideal stocking stuffers. Plus, stockings are red, if you’re into themes.

Our stocking stuffers offer an added bonus of course: convenience. Rather than dealing with the hustle and bustle of Black Friday and the ensuing rush – the rabid carts, the thrown elbows, the parking spot you found 1.6 miles away from the mall – simply shop online. It’s Black Friday sales without Black Friday stress.

But ample virtual parking isn’t the only reason to turn to us for your stocking needs. We offer solutions for anyone struggling to find stuffer ideas – solutions that are unique and practical; we promise our products will be used. Our products are also conducive to good health, making them something women can benefit from. It’s a win-win!

So, consider some of what we have to offer, including:

Organic 2Go Kits: This fashionable period kit was designed to keep ladies of all ages prepared for their period while on the go! It includes a stylish sequin travel bag, two products of your choice (Softcups, tampons, or pads), a panty liner, a disposable bag, and a feminine wipe.

The 2GO kit is designed to help you adapt when mother nature throws you a curveball: even if you like surprises, a period coming a week early is probably something you can do without. Our 2Go Kit allows an early appearance to be annoying, instead of embarrassing.

Cramp Tea: If you’ve never had a period cramp, you’re either lucky or you’re a man who accidentally came upon this blog while thinking it was something else. Many women suffer from cramps, sometimes so severely that they impact our ability to do things like work, go to school, and not scream in agony every few minutes. Our cramp tea is here to help!

It’s handcrafted by menstrual experts and made with organic ingredients (such as chaste tree berry, ginger, chamomile, raspberry leaf, and parsley). It’s designed to help menstrual cramps (but it tastes good too!) and balance your hormones, give you more energy, reduce pain, and lessen PMS. It also comes with a tea infuser as an added bonus.

Hot Flash Tea: Our hot flash tea is designed for all you hot women (you look awesome….and also you’re having hot flashes). It includes organic ingredients (chaste tree berry, black cohosh, red clover, motherwort, hibiscus, and lemon balm) formulated to reduce the unpleasant side effects that come with “the change” (like night sweats and surges of heat) as well hormonal shifts during the menstrual cycle.

A few of the issues it remedies include hormonal imbalance, lack of energy and other mood swings, irritability, and, naturally, temperature control. Now you don’t have to feel as though you’re entering and exiting a sauna all day long. Like the cramp tea, it comes with a tea infuser (which also makes an excellent stocking stuffer).

A Few Black Friday Stats

If you shop with us, you’ll avoid some of the madness that comes along with Black Friday. But, as much as a pain in the parking lot it may be, it is fascinating. For anyone interested in some Black Friday fun facts, see below:

     – It’s Crowded: Millions of people go shopping on Black Friday and that’s not hyperbole – in 2014, 87 million people hit the shops. In 2013, 92 million did. In 2012, 89 million did. And these numbers now seep into Thanksgiving Day: 35 million people shopped last year on turkey day.

     – It’s a Good Thing: Black Friday is good for the economy – it isn’t only helpful to the economy from a spending standpoint, but it’s also beneficial to those looking for work. About 750,000 people are hired each year for the holidays.

     – It’s Not as Much of a Steal as You May Think: Black Friday isn’t the best day for deals; it might have a reputation as being cheap, but the discounts aren’t actually that great. According to ShopAdvisor, the average discount is less than 5% on any given item. The best day to shop is another day: December 18. That’s when the average sale skyrockets to 17.5 percent off retail prices.

     – It Might Involve Vodka: There’s a reason people spend more during these shopping trips – a survey conducted by RetailMeNot found that 12% of Thanksgiving Day shoppers are drunk, leaving them to stumble into Black Friday (and be much more likely to buy things they don’t need and then make out with Teddy Ruxpin).

     – It’s High Pressure: Americans love to spend during the holidays but they also feel as they have to. Nearly half of US citizens assume spending more than they can afford this time of year is a must, rather than something encouraged by credit cards. This isn’t to say MasterCard’s holding a gun to our head, but it and VISA are in the background, egging us on: Come on, buy that trainset for your child, even though they’ll only really play with the box it came in.
