\"Samantha<\/a>Back to School!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The sun is shining and all the rain has stopped! This can only mean one thing! Yes the schools are back! After a rainy summer here in Ireland, stuck indoors my 13 year old Daughter went off to Secondary School to start her journey into the world of Teenage Dreams, peer pressure and Boys!!<\/p>\n

Aarrgh! I can\u2019t believe She is going to secondary school already!  I remember her asking me could she get a puppy when she was five and spending hours and hours throwing the ball for our dog Candy.  The dog is lucky if she gets acknowledged when she stomps in the door with her overweight schoolbag now! (Why do they make books so heavy anyway)?<\/p>\n

Ah but one of the best things about going back to school is the fact that she has a bit more knowledge of periods and is always prepared with her \u2018Secret Casket\u2019 in her schoolbag.  Of course, because She is the daughter of Funky Goddess, her friends know that she always has a supply of pads readily available, so she tends to pack a few extra these days, due to girls approaching her in case of emergency. She says she likes this as she feels like she is helpful to her peers. This isn\u2019t a bad quality to have at all and I am so proud of her for it. (could be worse, she could be the go to person for much nastier reasons)!<\/p>\n

So for me, seeing my Daughter put the little bit of eye shadow on her eyes and spend 10 minutes extra in front of the mirror before heading out the door to school was a little difference I noticed straight away.  Also, when she finished her first day, I happened to be passing by (honest, I just happened to be at the shop), when she got off the bus and was walking home with her friends.  I stopped and asked did she want a lift\u2026.lol how silly was I?!!<\/p>\n

\u2018Er\u2026no thanks, I\u2019ll walk\u2019 was the reply! Oh dear, I was ruining her street cred already!  Lol so there are lots of changes happening already since school  went back!<\/p>\n
