My first period happened in the eighth grade. Age 14. I was a late bloomer, I guess you could say. I was a gymnast, cheerleader, and ran track; very athletic. I never had the talk with my mother. So when it came, I had no idea what to do. I was wearing shorts and I seen red on my legs. So I went to the bathroom casually. And tons of blood gushed out. I wadded toilet paper up, and put it in my underwear. Eventually my mother found out by seeing a stained pair of underwear. Then she had the talk with me, kinda late. She has been helpful on my weeks. And I thank her for that 🙂
