What if my period comes while only my dad is home and there are NO females around?

Ive always has horrendous periods.. but pretty regular. Since January my period arrives for 2 day.. stops for 2-4 days and then returns. This has never happened before but is now happening every month.
I am not taking any medication or contraceptives … I turned 40 6 months ago
