No! Cups are very flexible and can move with your body. Only the silicone is inside you. For beginners lsoft silicone is used, but gymnasts and ballet dancers prefer firmer ones becuse they have strong pelvic mucles.

Usually menstrual cups are made up of soft material which won't cause any damage to your vagina. To be on more safer side make use of good quality menstrual cups like cupissima which are completely made up of 100% medical silicone. It does need time to get used to the practise of menstrual cups but its always safe and comfortable to go with the menstrual cups.To know more in details have a look at http://www.cupissima.com .
