Do you recommend the Lunette?

I’m 14 and don’t want to use disposable pads any more. Do you recommend the Lunette, which is the cup I am thinking of getting. How can I ask my mum to buy it for me online. I have the money for it, I just don’t know how to ask her to order it. If you don’t recommend the Lunette which one do you prefer, available in the UK please.

Choose what feels good for you. Just because your young, doesn't mean you have to get the smallest size. I'm twelve and have considered the larger Lunette, but I don't feel comfortable with it. Personally, I recommend trying tampons first. You may not like internal products, which would just be a complete waste of money if you buy a menstrual cup. Good Luck!

I suggest researching what's best for you!

Do lots and lots of research on all the different types (that's what I did) and you will eventually decide on the one that's right for you! I am getting a meluna starter kit in small and medium so I can try the sizes because they are designed for younger girls. I am 14 too.

ETTAC: This is good advice!  I was going to recommend Meluna, as well, but it's always best to hear it from someone who speaks from experience.  I'd advise you see yourself as a younger woman instead of younger girl.  You're already ahead of the curve for taking charge of your period, and that's no small matter! ~Jessica
