 By the way, I have found that it's easier to get a tampon in when I spit on the end of it.  I use non-applicator tampons.  Or used to; now I use a menstrual cup.  I spit on that, too.  Saliva provides enough lubricant for the tampon/cup to go in easily.

Do you have a friend who can show you how to do it?  It's better if you have that personal instruction.  If not, Youtube has some videos on how to insert a tampon.  Check them out.
